LOCATIONS

A wedding location depends on the type of ceremony.

Civil Weddings

The ceremony can be held in a location of your choice.

We exclusively offer the unique opportunity to have your wedding ceremony at Kasimatis Studios.

The wedding ceremony is held on your private veranda or the sundeck by the pool with a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea and caldera.

For those who prefer to have their Santorini wedding at another spot, there is a number of unique other alternative locations to choose from, such as:
  • Famous restaurants
  • Wineries
  • Old factories
  • Beaches
  • Chapel yards
  • Private museums
  • Old mansions
  • Sailboats

Orthodox Weddings

The Orthodox ceremony in Santorini can be held at the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, located in the center of Fira (the island's capital) overlooking the volcano and the Aegean sea or in other Orthodox churches located in various picturesque traditional villages around the island.

Catholic Weddings

The Catholic ceremony in Santorini is held at the Catholic Cathedral, a baroque church with an elegant bell tower. The Cathedral is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and is part of the Catholic Quarter in the center of Fira.

2) Start the paperwork requirements.
The legal documents are EASY for you to obtain. A detailed list and procedure is given below.

LEGAL DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR:

a) A CIVIL WEDDING IN GREECE

The following documents are required for a legal worldwide civil wedding in Greece:
  • An application for a civil marriage made to the Mayor (sign in it after your arrival).
  • Bride's and Groom's passports.
  • Single Status Letter or Certificate of Non-Impediment accompanied by an authenticated translation in Greek.

Translation into Greek and approval of the translation can be done by the Greek Consulate of your city or area. In the absence of a Consulate near by, we shall provide you with contact information of certified and internationally recognised translation companies.

You will be asked to fax copies of all the above documents to an indicative fax number at the latest thirty days before the Wedding date.

Please do not forget to bring along all the original documents.
Note: Required Documentation has to be issued not earlier than 3 months before the wedding date, otherwise it won't be acceptable by the Greek authorities.
